There is no point in having a monitor hooked up to an iPad unless the iPad can be turned off or the iPad display can be put to sleep. This is a mirrored display “mode”. Great if you want to stream a video or display photos but, if you are trying to get real work done it can be pretty distracting. I wonder if they will make it possible in iOS 15, or is this the feature that will differentiate the iPads from the MacBooks. I would expect that being able to use more than one monitor would be the feature to differentiate them. Apple is Apple and they will keep possible features behind to just sell next year’s device.
