Been testing 2.5 spinning drives for a kubernetes (k3s to be exact) project and I can confirm that every single 2.5 spinning drive I have used is complete 💩 and no one should EVER use these. They should stop selling these drives, I could fail these drives within hours of use.
💡 Remember if you are using MetalLB with k3s, make sure to disable ServiceLB. Otherwise you will go down the google rabbit hole for hours trying to figure out why your LoadBalancer IPs are randomly timing out. Kubernetes … such a love/hate relationship. 😜
Yay! Got my MacBook Pro back. Had a bad battery in it, capacity was dropping 1% everyday. Was concerned that the battery would end up popping if I used it any longer. They replaced the entire bottom portion which includes new speakers 🤟 mine were bad since I bought it in 2016.
Turned on the TV today for lunch and thought I was watching a movie, nope just American citizens attacking the capital 🤦♂️. YAY not even a week into 2021 and already it’s a shit show 💩
People need to stop thinking “Not my Problem” or “Not my Job”. Stop it, Don’t be a dick. We are here together living in the same space and sharing each others existence. Be a proper human being and help each other out.
Wow, I am impressed by how snappy Vivaldi Browser is, I wasn’t expecting such a resource friendly browser considering it is based on Chromium. Vivaldi with my four favorite addons uBlock Orgin, LocalCDN, The Great Suspender, and Smart HTTPS makes my browsing experience pleasant
I am surprised in a day of ARM cpus being a thing that one of the most popular service meshes (Istio) does not support arm64 (yet). I lost all hope of finding something to run on my seven Raspberry Pi k3s cluster, but found out that Linkerd 2 works perfectly on my cluster 😁 YAY!
Just stumbled onto AsciiDoc! Reading the docs & this page asciidoctor.org/docs/asci… it should really be used over markdown, I wish it was widely supported on everything I used. I might just have to write my own software to provide some support for it
I finally removed all my “smart” devices off of Smartthings, sad to do it but Smartthings has gone down hill as of late and I got over dealing with all the issues I was have with it.

Holy Crap @smartthings has gone to 💩 , I know what I am going to be working on this weekend. The up and down has been relentless. Will be dropping Smartthings before the end of the month. They have been down for over 90 minutes now and no warning or status update. sigh
There is no point in having a monitor hooked up to an iPad unless the iPad can be turned off or the iPad display can be put to sleep. This is a mirrored display “mode”. Great if you want to stream a video or display photos but, if you are trying to get real work done it can be pretty distracting. I wonder if they will make it possible in iOS 15, or is this the feature that will differentiate the iPads from the MacBooks. I would expect that being able to use more than one monitor would be the feature to differentiate them. Apple is Apple and they will keep possible features behind to just sell next year’s device.
What do you use to take your notes that is cross-platform and supports Markdown? I am having a hard time finding something that checks all the boxes.
There are more things that I would like but I think this small list is what is most important to me.

Well I didn’t think the riots would come to my area but I can hear the helicopter announcing that everyone is being recorded & they will be prosecuted. Really disappointed with the people doing this. Santa Ana has fought gentrification forever & these people that come here to do this are just destroying the lives of the people who grew up here because they want to riot/loot. It’s not right. I wasn’t going to say anything but had to say something.
w00t! Obsidian has finally gone public. Totally recommend it. I have been messing w/ TiddlyWiki, org-mode, & TheBrain but wanted something w/ some future proof & easy to use. This totally provides all that since the backend is just markdown files w/ a simple markdown editor 😁
Dang, my Beats Wireless Studios seem to be going out, the Bluetooth is cutting in & out. I have already replaced the pads & battery. I have had these around 4 yrs now, Hmm 🤔 I wonder if it’s time for me to get new headphones. Any suggestions? Requirements: wireless, noise canceling, over the ear design, and usable for long sessions.

Working on a project and need a microSD card, luckily I found a few, unfortunately only one out of the bunch worked lol. It’s funny how easy it is to “horde” electronics. I’ll make sure to pour our a little bit of coffee for the dead memories. 
I haven’t touched my microblog for awhile now, been occupied with other things. I think it’s time I return to it and focus a little bit of TLC to it.
Yesterday I started feeling a bit off and woke up with a slight dry cough. I just wanted to sleep. Now my stomach/gut is starting to act up and I am still sleepy, dry cough is off/on. The anxiety of the thought that I might have #coronavirus is most likely making me worse 😞
